What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is one of the oldest, drug-free medical treatments that has been practiced in China and other Asian countries for thousands of years. It works on the bodies’ energy (Qi) through a complex system of energy pathways (Jing Luo). The Qi circulates throughout the body, reaching every bodily tissues and organs. When Qi flows freely, the body is balanced and health prevails. If Qi becomes blocked, stagnated, or weakened, it can result in physical, mental, or emotional illness.

Acupuncture uses a variety of techniques. Very fine needles are inserted through the skin to varying depths at Acu-points to stimulate or balance Qi and affect therapeutic responses in the body. Other techniques include using heat (moxibustion), pressure, suction (cupping), or impulses of electromagnetic energy to stimulate the Acu-points.
